Movie Review Haikus

Very hectic week at work, for reasons which I don’t want to bore anyone with.
So, since I haven’t had a lot of time lately, I thought I’d do my latest movie reviews as haikus:
The Village
Don’t go in the woods
Big nasty creatures live there
Maybe not – who cares?
Opie’s daughter’s hot
And even though she is blind
She can do it all
Thunderbirds
Give me more rescues
Not Die Hard: Tracy Island
With third-rate spy kids
Childhood dreams live
TB machines cool on screen
Ouch! Bright colors hurt
I think that about says it all. F-A-B.

These are great, Rog! I wish more reviewers would express themselves in such a laconic form — a tanka would also be OK, if they found the haiku too restrictive.

Thanks, Amy. I got to thinking, "Hey! Maybe I could do a movie review haiku webiste, where I could post my haikus as well as ones submitted by other people!" But then of course a web search revealed this is not an original idea.
I’d never heard of tankas before. Hmmm, there doesn’t appear to be any movie review tanka sites…

Tankas are like haiku, only their main subject matter is macaques.
I’m pretty sure Jim Morrison wrote a whole bunch of ‘em.

Put a tiger in your tanka!
