Validation for my Refined Palate

I’m psyched! In the latest issue of Westword, Jason Sheehan, my favorite foodie writer, reviewed my favorite local sushi place, the Fontana Sushi in Littleton. And he loves it. (See this previous blog entry declaring my own love for the place.) I really had no idea that Fontana was serving such non-traditional fare, but I knew there was some reason I liked it…
In the same issue, the cover story is about Crocs. On behalf of my fellow state denizens, let me apologize to the nation – I had no idea these things were a Colorado invention. Sorry.
Latre.

I have never heard of Crocs. Perhaps they haven’t caught on here yet. In terms of footwear, though, I have to say that anything is better than Uggs.

You’ve never heard of Crocs?!? But… but… you live in Berkeley (or near it anyway), and Crocs were initially a Boulder thing! What’s good for Boulder is good for Berkeley! Start looking at people’s feet (check for colorful plastic “shoes”), if you don’t already, and report back…

Birkinstocks still rule in Berkeley, but I’ll keep an eye out for the Crocs…
