I’ll Take What I Can Get

So do you know what the best thing to happen to me last weekend was? The battery in my car died.
Luckily it died in the parking lot of a Sears Auto Center, and I was back up and running with a new battery in about a half hour. I had known it was having problems for awhile, but didn’t have time to deal with it and wasn’t 100% sure it was the battery. I had stopped at Sears to pick up a birthday present for my sister and ended up parking next to the Auto Center because the parking lot by the main entrance was pretty full. It’s not enough to make me a religious man, but at least karma appears to be working in my favor, as I was due a little good luck lately.
Now I just need to get the weatherstripping on the passenger side door of the car replaced. Just like I had to do with the driver side door last year. There’s a serious design flaw in these Acuras. A little hot weather and the stuff just melts and peels right off. Or maybe it wasn’t properly applied during the repairs from the hail damage. Anyway, it makes it hard to close the door and it’s extremely annoying. Although as recent annoyances go, it’s a fairly minor one.

Just haven’t had time to update… too busy running other people’s lives.
