No Belfry

So last night just after dusk, I was out on the back deck grillin’ up some pre-Labor Day chicken and corn on the cob for me and the lady. I heard a weird clicking noise in the tree, which didn’t sound like a bird or an insect. I brought N out to come listen to it. Suddenly, two figures swooped down and started flying erratically toward some other nearby trees. It was too dark to tell exactly what they were, but N said that they were bats. I don’t think I’ve ever seen bats in Colorado, much less ones in my own back yard. Very bizarre. Wish I had a picture.
Pet Peeve Of The Day: The crowds at A Taste Of Colorado. The food (though expensive) and the music are good. N and I had a fun time there today. But oh, those crowds. And the hot weather…
Latre.

There are definitely bats here in CO. Marie and I see them all the time here around dusk diving between the trees and scarfing up the buggies.
Good to see you posting again
