Apparently, the US Navy is going to try to shoot down that wayward satellite tomorrow night. It’s the start of Star Wars! Let’s at least hope the shuttle Atlantis is down by then.

Don’t forget that tonight is also the last lunar eclipse until Dec 2010, should turn the moon a nice shade of red. Try looking outside around
8:30pm MST.

Actually I think it’d be most ironic if the missile trying to shoot down that old Keyhole satellite got knocked out by a hunk of debris left over from the Chinese anti-missile test of a few years ago that so many are still complaining about…

Flasshe, why did the Navy use a SM-3 missle instead of one of their ASAT missles? Did this have something to do with the PS3 controller they use to guide the missles these days??
