From A Scream To A Whisper

Well, it’s the morning, and we didn’t get the many inches overnight like was predicted. That happens a lot. It’s still snowing, but the roads aren’t too bad and I’m going to try driving in to work. We’ll probably get a few more inches throughout the day, but it looks like this isn’t the big March showstopper the weather people thought it might be. Hooray!
Poignant Search Term Of The Day That Led To This Blog: “john sharples i can explain”. I’m sure John accepts your apology. (Yes, I know that’s the name of his album.)

Some host YOU are… I’ve got to deal with a disappointed Australian tourist here!

Big Bad Weather = increased paper sales/news viewing/website hits = tendency to overhype upcoming weather events. Happens here all the time, too.

We actually did get 20 inches of snow in 24 hours here in the C-bus recently (March 7-8). That’s more than we ordinarily get in 2 years. It was mostly melted by Friday, though. Good riddance too – though I have to admit it was damn near magical with all the pretty snow falling and accumulating and every single activity in the metro area getting canceled.
I like your new “Of the Day” feature. Do you really have enough source material to keep it going?

Seems unlikely, especially since like 60% of the search terms involve “spanking” or “barium bromine”, neither of which I’m particularly keen on giving exposure to.
Sorry about your snow! Be sure to save some in your freezer for summer.
